Reviews for the Oppo Realme 3

The Realme 3 comes at Rs. 8,999 for the 3 GB/ 32 GB variant and 10,999 for the 4 GB/ 64 GB variant. And at that price, it goes right up against Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 (Rs. 9,999 for 3 GB/ 32 GB, Rs. 11,999 for 4 GB/ 64 GB), which does not match it in the camera department but comes with a glass back and full HD+ display – you can check our comparison of the two devices here. Also lurking in those waters is the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, which might be a little long in the tooth but still packs in a decent processor and great battery life. If, however, you are on a tight budget and are looking for a device that looks smart and comes with very good cameras and excellent battery life, then the Realme 3 is definitely one of the main contenders for your phone space.

The phone is quite good for its price tag. It has a good design and feel to it and offers smooth performance, but fails when it comes to the camera. It handles multitasking and comes with the new Android 9 Pie OS out-of-the-box.

Overall, the Realme 3 is a bang-for-your-buck device. It has a pretty decent MediaTek P60 with sufficient memory and storage, and a large internal battery that could last you a long time. It’s evident that Realme has invested a significant amount of effort in creating an appealing entry-level device.

The Realme 3 shatters the preconception of what smartphones at this price range brings to the table. The nightscape mode works really well for night mode photography, and the new ColorOS 6.0 is just magnificent, and there are more room to improve and grow too.

The Realme 3 is the new Budget Smartphone King to consider if you're looking for the best value for your money. It performs very well as an entry and even midrange phone, thanks to its solid specs. Its powerful processor and graphics could handle gaming and multitasking smoothly while the camera is very reliable in the selfie and low light shooting and the design is a step up from the competition.

The Realme 3 has been one of the phones that have been constantly popping up in our comment section and for good reason. There’s a lot of value to have with this device. Yes, it has its shortcomings but all its good parts make for a very compelling case for itself that makes it one of the phones to check out; especially since we missed out on the Realme 2 Pro. While there are a lot of options in this tough price bracket and some that have hardware that packs a more powerful punch, the Realme 3 is definitely one of the more solid options and you definitely shouldn’t sleep on its Nightscape feature.

At a starting price of Rs 8,999, the Realme 3 seems to be a decent smartphone that ticks almost all the right boxes. The phone might not impress if you stream multimedia content over the internet using OTT platforms or like stock Android interface. Otherwise, the phone is a capable device with good performance, plush design, capable camera and decent on-battery time.

Apparently, there’s a Realme 3 Pro in the works, which might explain some of the odd decisions here. I’d personally recommend holding off until we know more about that before spending your money on the Realme 3 and if you can’t wait, take a serious look at the Realme 2 Pro instead.

Realme is keen to take on the best affordable phones from Xiaomi. The company already has its eyes set on challenging the Redmi Note 7 Pro when it announces the Realme 3 Pro next month. And I'm quite excited to see what the Realme 3 Pro has to offer. The Realme 3, however, doesn't offer that wow factor that we got from past Realme phones.

Realme has told Gadgets 360 that there won't be any change in availability of the other Realme models, at least for next few months, but we'd recommend the Realme U1 (Review) which has the same processor but better specs such as a full-HD display, if you're choosing between these two models.

The Realme 3 has a lot to offer, way beyond what its budget price tag suggests. The dazzling looks are something you can really brag about, the camera does the job, and the battery will last you for a while. But performance is where the Realme 3 really excels.

A phone that looks good, performs decently, features the latest operating system, but really fails when it comes to the camera. And this is where you ask yourself again: Should I invest Rs 10,999 in the Realme 3 (or Rs 8,999 for the lower variant)?

Realme 3 smartphone is a refined version of the Realme 2 as it now comes with a much better design language and better user interface. However, the gradient finish is not something new we are seeing in a smartphone and so is the dewdrop notch. The performance capabilities are yet to be tested, though the camera gave mixed bag results. The user interface is now more polished and it would be interesting to see whether it will be able to give a stiff competition to its arch rivals.

Realme 3 focuses on an all-rounder performance and gets most of it right too. It has nice overall performance, brilliant battery backup, decent camera and a truly stylish design. Realme 3 has a lot to offer and it won’t have trouble standing out against the competition like Redmi Note 7, Galaxy M20, and others in the budget smartphone market. The Realme 3 should not disappoint users, considering it ticks most of the right boxes.

Model: The Realme brand is a name much uncommon to be heard of around some parts of the world. This is due to the very fact that Realme has been a sub-brand of the much celebrated Oppo before becoming its own independent company. The Realme brand has not seen much success until the mid of 2019 whereby it has entered 20 markets and became one of the top 10 mobile phone manufacturers in the world. The Realme 3 is one of the China-based independent company’s latest releases in order to commemorate their official entrance into the India market and thus its production is designated as a Flipkart India exclusive.
The Realme 3 is a fun-sized attraction of its own. With the proper utilization of NCVM Technology in its production, the combination of two colors into one is made possible. The Realme 3 appeals to the conventional taste of humankind by introducing the Dynamic Black color option, which is further accentuated with starry particles on its surface. This produces a magical chameleon effect as dubbed by the Realme 3 itself whereby the physique of the phone glimmers under reflective lighting. Aside from the more conventional Dynamic Black color variation, the Realme 3 also comes in a calming combination of both pantone blue and green. This color combination is bound to attract the eyes of environmentalists as well as millennials who possess a keen eye for attractive color schemes. With a 6.2-inch HD+ display and a teardrop notch as its frontal design of choice, it seems that the Realme 3 is carefully following the formula of success in terms of smartphone design.
The Realme 3 is equipped with the MediaTek Helio P60 SoC chip whereby it is capable of demonstrating a multitude of tasks with a respectable degree of brilliance. For instance, the MediaTek Helio P60 chip is integrated with a profound AI technology aptly entitled as the MediaTek NeuroPilot. The NeuroPilot feature empowers the artificial intelligence (AI) within the Realme 3 to work seamlessly across all other components in order to crate the most practically convenient experience for various users alike. Apart from that, the MediaTek Helio P60 chip is designed to be power efficient. It is constructed using 12 nm FinFET technology whereby it is the integral process which enables the Helio P60 to deliver astounding energy efficiency. The capitalization on power efficiency for this particular chip is further amplified by the clever internal management of MediaTek’s CorePilot 4.0 technology. The CorePilot 4.0 technology integrated within the Helio P60 chip promotes Energy Aware Scheduling so users can properly utilize the remaining battery life of the Realme 3 for separate but simultaneous tasks.

6.22":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.74.5%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
