The Oppo Enco X3s are new wireless earbuds that come with a wide range of features. These are relatively well-equipped in-ear headphones that offer active noise cancellation. Oppo claims they can reduce noise by up to 55dB, with the ANC operating in a frequency range of 5,500Hz. As usual, this feature can be useful during travel on planes, trains or in otherwise busy environments.
Two drivers per earbud
Each earbud is equipped with two dynamic drivers. These measure 11 and 6 millimeters respectively and can reproduce frequencies between 15 and 40,000Hz. According to Oppo, wireless audio transmission does not significantly affect sound quality, as the earbuds support AAC and SBC as well as LHDC 5.0 for high-quality audio streaming.
No head tracking but an IP55 rating
Furthermore, Oppo’s new headphones have an IP55 rating, so they should be resistant to water or dust. The battery life is listed as up to 45 hours when utilizing the included charging case. That runtime only applies if ANC is turned off and music is streamed via AAC. In the worst case with both LHDC and ANC, the Enco X3s are supposed to last about 5.5 hours at 50% volume.
These headphones can also provide an immersive and spatial audio experience with the typical limitations of this kind of earbud, although it should be noted that the Oppo Enco X3s do not support head tracking. Either way, the AI-based translation feature only works with select Oppo devices, and the earbuds can connect to two devices simultaneously. An exact launch date or price tag for markets outside of China have not been revealed thus far.
