Ninkear L20 mini PC arrives with 8-core CPU and plenty of ports

Ninkear is a pretty well-known name in the realm of mini PCs. We have even reviewed the company's M7 offering in the past year and were mostly satisfied with the product.
The company has now announced a new mini PC powered by an Intel Lunar Lake CPU. Dubbed the L20, this new mini PC aims to pack a reasonable amount of compute performance and AI capabilities in a small footprint.
To be more specific, this mini PC is powered by Intel's Core Ultra 5 226V CPU paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.
The Intel Core Ultra 5 226V is almost two years old at this point, having been launched in the middle of 2024. The 8-core Lunar Lake chip sports a 17W TDP and keeps up with a modern AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 APU in synthetic benchmarks.
In simpler terms, the L20 mini PC's overall system performance should not be a source of complaint for most people. There is no scope for discrete graphics, which is acceptable given the mini PC's compact 0.66-liter footprint. At any rate, the Intel Arc 130V iGPU performs a decent job and keeps up with a Radeon 780M found in many budget mini PCs.
The I/O on offer is very impressive, and has been listed below:
- Five USB 3.0 Type-A ports
- USB 4, USB 3.0 Type-C, USB 2.0 Type-A
- DisplayPort (4K@60Hz), HDMI (4K@120Hz)
- 2.5G Ethernet
The base variant of the L20 mini PC from Ninkear sports: the aforementioned Intel Core Ultra 5 226V CPU, 16 GB RAM, and a 512 GB SSD. This variant is priced at €699 (~$810), while the version with 1 TB storage costs another €100 (~$115).
Possible alternative: GMKtec M6 Ultra (currently $629.99 on Amazon)
