New prototype car spotted, fuels rumors of a budget Tesla Model 3
Elon Musk has long pursued the goal of making electric vehicles affordable for the mass market. There is speculation that Tesla could introduce cheaper variants of the Model 3 and Model Y. Recently, a mysterious Tesla car was spotted in California. At first glance, the vehicle, photographed by a Reddit user near San Francisco, resembles a modified Model 3. Were it not for the distinctive camouflage, designed to obscure details and conceal the car’s shape until its official debut, it might have passed unnoticed.
Since the spotted model shows a mix of old and new features, it’s reasonable to speculate that this vehicle could be a precursor to a more affordable Tesla Model 3. The front bears a strong resemblance to the standard Model 3, while other features, such as the flat air intakes, are more akin to the refreshed 2023 Highland model.
A lively debate has emerged in the Reddit comments regarding the significance of the latest Tesla sighting. All attention is now on the We, Robot event that Tesla will host in Los Angeles on October 10. The long-awaited Robotaxi, announced in June and already spotted, is expected to be unveiled at the event. However, additional announcements cannot be ruled out.
