TAG Heuer seems to take the wearable market very seriously since an unexpected wearable is expected to arrive tomorrow. We already heard that TAG Heuer had plans to launch more Android Wear devices in May, but the teaser they posted on Twitter at the end of last week took us by surprise.
The teaser image does not reveal much, only containing the "TAG Heuer Connected coming soon..." text, but the message that accompanies the image is a bit more comprehensive - "March 14, Stay Tuned... #ConnectedToEternity." Sadly, there are no technical details to talk about at this stage, but everything should be official in less than a day. Previous rumors and leaks mentioned GPS, NFC with Android Pay support, extended battery life.
The original TAG Heuer Connected is a premium smartwatch that retails for around $1,500 USD. Its success took TAG Heuer by surprise - the company managed to sell about 60,000 units so far, but they only expected to ship around 20,000 units.
The new TAG Heuer Connected is rumored to come with a higher price tag than its predecessor. How high, this is something we will probably find out tomorrow.
