The Huawei Power Bank with Built-in Cable (100W 12000) has been revealed in China. This accessory was introduced alongside other products like the Mate XTs Ultimate Design, the FreeBuds 7i and the Mate TV Pro.
Huawei’s 100W 12000 mAh Power Bank can be used to charge two devices simultaneously via the integrated “ultra-durable” USB-C cable and a USB-C port. Each offers an up to 100W output when used alone; according to Huawei, this should allow you to charge a Mate 70 or a Mate X6 to 85% in 30 minutes. The company markets the accessory as offering dynamic power allocation, though it notes that, when the two outputs are used simultaneously, they each offer 66W and 40W or 88W and 18W. It supports pass-through charging, Huawei SuperCharge and other charging protocols like PD, PPS and QC.
The power bank has a 12,000 mAh capacity battery, with the remaining battery level indicated with four LEDs. This information is also viewable in the Huawei smartphone app. Safety features include regular temperature checks and protection against overvoltage and short circuits. Available in black and white, the accessory measures 130.6 x 68.4 x 15.7 mm (~5.1 x 2.7 x 0.6 inches) and weighs 237 g (~8.4 oz).
In China, the Huawei Power Bank with Built-in Cable (100W 12000) will retail for CNY 399 (~$56). It will be released in this country on September 26th. The company has yet to announce plans to release this accessory in other markets, like Europe.
