Honor, Huawei's sub-brand, is on a roll. The company, over the past few months, has released an assortment of feature-packed devices including the Honor 9i, Honor 7X, and the flagship Honor V10.
The Chinese brand may be set to launch another device just eight days after the launch event for the 7X and V10 was held in London, with the unknown device expected to feature quad cameras. The company released an announcement image on social media earlier in the day, showing Chinese actor Hu Ge wearing sunglasses over his eyes and behind his head in what can best be described as brick-over-the-head levels of subtlety.
Quad cameras are something of a novelty feature, as dual rear cameras are only just going mainstream. We're not exactly sure how practical having two selfie shooters is, though, as most of what the setup would do can be replicated with only software. This would not be the first time we see quad cameras on a Honor device anyways, as the Honor 9i—Maimang 6, Nova 2i, and Mate 10 in other markets—sported a similar array.
It's unknown what device this will be; there's a chance it's the Honor Note 9, or the Honor 9 Lite—it's all up in the air. We'll find out in two days.
