New Avengers: Doomsday leak claims trailer 1 is paired with the new Avatar movie, releasing Dec 19
Reddit’s latest Avengers: Doomsday trailer leak is giving fans a much clearer idea of when the first footage might hit cinemas, even if Marvel is still keeping quiet. A new post on r/LeaksAndRumors shows what’s claimed to be an internal trailer sheet from a Canadian Cineplex manager, and it points straight at Avatar: Fire and Ash as the launchpad for trailer 1.
The screenshot shows several "AvengersDooms_TLR-1" entries across 2D and 3D formats, dated late November, with the poster saying these will be attached to Avatar screenings. If the sheet is genuine, it means the trailer is finished, encoded, and ready to go - just waiting for Avatar’s release window.
This comes right after a separate, widely shared Reddit thread relayed insider Daniel Richtman’s claim that a much-hyped Disney trailer slot was not for Avengers: Doomsday, which cooled down expectations significantly. That update never ruled out a December debut entirely, though, since earlier rumors had already pegged a roughly 85‑second teaser as being lined up for a major year‑end release.
Meanwhile, the list of leaks around Doomsday has only gotten longer. Long-running plot rumors already describe Doctor Doom using multiversal knowledge to manipulate incursions and engineer a showdown in the Void, alongside "Doombots" and universe‑level stakes. As far as casting leaks go, there will reportedly be 60 heroes across Avengers, X‑Men, Fantastic Four and other legacy characters.
As always, this new "confirmation" is still just a leak: unverified, anonymous, and subject to change. But taken together with months of plot and cast rumors, it’s the clearest sign yet that Marvel is finally gearing up to show audiences what Avengers: Doomsday actually looks like. Regardless, we'll still have to wait for Avatar: Fire and Ash's official screening on the 19th of December to get a confirmation - which is not too far off.
