The release of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 was fraught with stock issues, with multiple cards selling for thousands of dollars on places like eBay as fans clamoured for the RTX 30 series. Unsurprisingly, NVIDIA then delayed the release of the RTX 3070 until October 29, purportedly to maximise launch day stock volumes.
Now, NVIDIA has quietly announced that it has stopped selling Founders Edition versions of the RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 on its online store. Apparently, the company has made the change as it works to 'to improve the experience' of its website following feedback from the community. No information about when it will begin selling the Founders Edition cards again has been offered, though.
Instead, NVIDIA is pointing US customers to Best Buy, where both cards remain out of stock. Presumably, Best Buy will be the only retailer to offer the two Founders Edition cards from now on. Additionally, there is currently no way to purchase either card in Europe. NVIDIA claims that it will 'continue to review Founders Edition fulfilment options' for the region, without giving any details.
More RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 Founders Edition cards will be available 'in the coming weeks', though. However, it remains to be seen from where people will purchase either card in Europe. The availability of Founders Edition cards once again will apparently coincide with more AIB cards hitting the market, too.
