The Japanese NEC Corporation will presumably be the next manufacturer to introduce an Ultrabook. Reportedly, the device is called LaVie Z and will hit the stores in the Land of the Rising Sun sometime this summer for a yet undisclosed price.
The maker is also not giving away much information (specs-wise) on the LaVie Z model. So far it is known that the Ultrabook will feature a 13.3-inch widescreen panel and will have a weight of only 2.2lbs (approximately 998 grams).
Furthermore, the LaVie Z is supposedly built using a new lithium-magnesium alloy (hence the lightweight design) and since it is scheduled for a summer release, the processor powering the notebook might very well be an Ivy Bridge one.
