We’d previously heard that the first Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks would hit the market by June 5th, and Samsung’s Series 5 might be the first to debut.
Fresh off the announcement that their Series 7 notebooks would be getting Intel’s latest, Samsung is getting set to boost their Series 5 Ultrabooks to Ivy Bridge land. Apparently, the Ultrabooks will be available in i5 and i7 flavors, which will be identified by a “530U3C” or “A02DE” model number, respectively. In addition, the lineup should sport a hybrid 500GB HDD+24GB SSD, 8GB of RAM and a 1,366x768 resolution on the 13.3” screen.
Sadly, other details about the Ivy Bridge Series 5 remain scant, but it looks like they should be available in early June starting at 1099 Euros. There is also no word as to when the devices will appear stateside.
