Motorola has now officially unveiled the Edge 50 Neo, the fifth member of the Edge 50 series. Arriving first in the Eurozone and the UK, the Edge 50 Neo is underpinned by an LTPO pOLED display, a battery that supports wireless and 68 W wired charging, plus a version of the chipset that powers one of Motorola's latest foldables.

Motorola has now formally introduced the Edge 50 Neo, albeit only in the Eurozone and UK for the time being. For context, the Edge 50 Neo expands the Edge 50 series to five devices after four other releases earlier this year:

Although Motorola does not acknowledge as much, the Edge 50 Neo's pricing positions it between the Edge 50 Fusion and Edge 50 Pro in the company's product stack. Specifically, Motorola intends to sell the Edge 50 Neo for €499.99 in the Eurozone and £449.99 in the UK, which makes the device £100 more expensive than the Edge 50 Fusion's MSRP and £150 cheaper than the Edge 50 Pro before factoring in any discounts.

As expected, Motorola will sell the Edge 50 Neo in four Pantone colours, which the latter describes as Grisaille, Lattè, Nautical Blue and Poinciana. Additionally, it seems that Motorola will only offer the handset with 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM, at least in the UK. Moreover, the Edge 50 Neo relies upon the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a version of which we have already reviewed in the Razr 50 (curr. $699.99 on Amazon).

On top of that, Motorola has installed a 4,310 mAh battery that supports 15 W wireless and 68 W wired charging, as well as a 6.4-inch LTPO pOLED display that outputs at 1220p with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness. Furthermore, the Edge 50 Neo finds itself with the following cameras:

  • Primary: 50 MP, Sony LYTIA 700C, OIS
  • Ultra-wide: 13 MP, 120° FoV, Macro functionality
  • Telephoto: 10 MP, 3x optical, OIS
