Motorola has now expanded its Moto G series with a new budget option. Specifically, the Moto G35 5G has arrived for under €200, despite containing a 120 Hz display, a 50 MP camera and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 18 W charging.

Motorola continues to expand its smartphone series much faster than many of its peers. For context, the company quietly released the Edge 50 Neo earlier this week in Europe and the UK as the fifth member of the Edge 50 series. Additionally, it has also brought the Edge 50 to Europe following its debut in India earlier this month.

Moreover, it has now presented the Moto G35 5G and the Moto G55 5G, the latter of which we have covered separately. Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Moto G35 5G is the weakest of Motorola's recent additions hardware-wise. While the handset arrives running Android 14 like its peers, it features the following relatively lowly specifications within a 166.29 x 75.98 x 7.79 mm housing:

  • Unisoc T760 SoC
  • 5,000 mAh, 18 W wired charging
  • 6.72-inch LCD, 1080p resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1,000 nits peak brightness
  • 50 MP primary camera (f/1.8 aperture, 0.64 µm pixel size)
  • 8 MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.2 aperture, 1.12 µm pixel size, 120° FoV)
  • 16 MP front-facing camera (f/2.45 aperture, 1.0 µm pixel size)

For now, Motorola is only selling the Moto G35 5G in Europe, where it retails for €199 with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. However, the company has confirmed that the device will 'also roll out to select markets in Latin America and Asia', albeit without providing any specifics in this regard. On top of that, it seems that Motorola intends to sell the Moto G35 5G in the UK too; pricing and availability remain unknown there as well though.
