Minecraft is the most popular video game in the world, with over 300 million copies sold since 2009. It must be said that while its gameplay is simple, there are many features available, such as crafting, not to mention the huge community of modders that has formed around it. And some projects aim to modify the game's graphics, and the results are often stunning.
This is what Digital Dreams wanted to highlight in one of its latest videos. With 4K resolution, an RTX 5090, and many mods, the result is more realistic than ever. Indeed, the textures of each block and the lighting have been significantly improved.
As it is possible to see with the moving flowers, the sky, or even the leaves of the trees, the environment is much more lively than in the vanilla version. And that’s not all, because when blocks are broken, several pieces fall on the ground. In addition, when the player steps on them, they are also scattered in different ways.
Weapons and tools take on a whole new form, such as the diamond axe, which has a Nordic style. But although water is visible at certain moments of the video, it would have been interesting to see an ocean to appreciate the animation of this texture over such a large area.
