Although it is priced around $80 (you can get the Deluxe Edition - Xbox Series X|S [Digital Code] for $79.99 on Amazon), Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a solid performer for Konami, with more than one million copies sold in the first 24 hours after release. Both the press and gamers praised the game, although some considered it being too close to the original Snake Eater, which was released in 2004.
Back in August, when Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater came out, many fans weren't happy about the lack of a multiplayer mode. Previously confirmed, the multiplayer mode, dubbed Fox Hunter, has just received a launch date: October 30. In addition to this date, Konami has also revealed a few gameplay-related details.
According to the makers of this title, quoted by Game Rant, Fox Hunt allows gamers to team up in pairs and play with up to 12 people. There will be three types of fields, including jungle. Only two mission types will be available at launch, and they will be randomly selected each battle. As it happens in the single-player mode, playing Fox Hunt will require stealth, but a new device will be available to ensure a higher survivability chance. The AT-Camo device will be accompanied by an environmental scanner, known as Naked Sense, which allows players to detect items and enemies in the surroundings by spending stamina.
Fortunately, no microtransactions are planned, at least for the time being. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater peaked at just 19,634 concurrent players on Steam so far, so it should be fairly easy for Fox Hunt to help it break at least the 25k barrier. However, we will find out at the end of October if that's the case.
