Meta brings Instagram to Google TV devices

Following the release of an Instagram app for Amazon Fire TV devices late last year, Meta has announced that it has released a version of the social media app for Google TV devices. However, there's a caveat.
Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram made the announcement on his official Threads account. According to the top executive, Instagram for TV is available for Google TV devices. However, the app is only available to users in the US. There's also an official statement posted on the official Instagram blog which adds that they are testing the app first in the US before expanding it to more devices and countries.
Based on a video attached to the blog post, the Instagram for TV app supports multiple users, as a splash screen shows four user profiles and an “add account” button. Instagram says users will be able to add up to five accounts. It also mentions that users can create a separate account just for the TV app.
Once you select your profile, it will load reels from your favorite creators which are grouped into channels based on a user's interests. There is also a search bar for finding a specific creator or browsing profiles.
Finally, Instagram says it plans to add more features such as the ability to use your phone as a remote and shared feeds with friends.
