MSI intros 0.55-liter mini PC series with entry-level Intel processors

MSI has introduced the Cubi NUC TWG series, a new Intel mini PC lineup with a business-oriented design. Two models have been announced so far, and one of them, the TWG S, sports a fanless design.
The non-S TWG has a fan cooler, but the fanless option shouldn't be much behind in terms of performance. Both are available with either the Intel N250 or N150, and these two are identical processors from the Twin Lake lineup.
It's also worth noting that these Intel Twin Lake processors are entry-level options. They are not designed to handle heavy workloads, but day-to-day tasks and office-related workloads aren't a problem for these.
There's no mention of all the configurations that these mini PCs will be offered in, but MSI mentions that there will be one DDR5 SO-DIMM slot and one M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 3 slot (1 TB Patriot P300 curr. $156.99 on Amazon). As for the port configuration, it seems decent, with both systems featuring the following ports:
- 2x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort Alt
- 4x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 1x 1G Ethernet
- 1x 2.5G Ethernet
- 2x HDMI
- 1x 3.5 mm audio
Another notable aspect of the Cubi NUC TWG mini PC series is that both models come with a compact chassis. They are 0.55 liters in volume and come in two colorways. WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and triple-display output support are the other notable highlights. MSI hasn't shared pricing or availability details yet, but similarly configured mini PCs are readily available in the market, and the Asus NUC 14 Essential is a proper example.
