The 23.8-inch, 24.5-inch, and 27-inch monitors are now shipping from $190 to $340 all with high native refresh rates and either G-Sync or FreeSync to reduce tearing even further.

MSI has announced three flat-panel Optix IPS monitors this week now available for purchase at retailers like Amazon and Newegg. The new gaming-centric models focus on high native refresh rates and fast response times whilst maintaining accurate colors, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and relatively low prices. In order to hit this balance, all monitors have a native resolution of "only" 1080p which should be fine for the competitive gamer where frame rates often take priority over resolution.

From biggest the smallest, the first is the 23.8-inch Optix G241 which promises a native 144 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, 95 percent DCI-P3 color coverage, and FreeSync compatibility. The next biggest is the 24.5-inch Optix MAG251RX with its 240 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, 84 percent DCI-P3 color coverage, and G-Sync compatibility. This is also the only model of the three to integrate USB Type-C for video connection as an option. And lastly, the 27-inch Optix G271 is essentially an enlarged version of the Optix G241 but with a slightly smaller gamut of 92 percent of DCI-P3.

The Optix G241, MAG251RX, and G271 can be found online for $190, $340, and $240, respectively.
