The MSI Modern 14 A10M-669 from MSI offers the perfect mix of elegance, mobility and high performance for creative tasks. With its slim 14" form factor, the ultra-portable sprinter is perfect for users who always want to have their laptop with them at work or in their spare time. The true-color screen with its color frame, which is just a few millimeters wide, allows for a particularly compact design of the aluminum housing. The Modern 14 is portable and durable wherever users go, because it is built with an ultra-light chassis with hair-brushed aluminum and white keyboard illumination. Aside from that, according to the requirements of the military standard MIL-STD-810G, the Modern 14 had to pass extensive tests of robustness, reliability and durability. The results confirm the high quality standards of MSI laptops. As for the display, users can enjoy the magnificent view across the FHD IPS-Level anti-glare display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The brilliant, true-to-color 14.0" screen brings out images, graphics and videos with an expanded 100% sRGB color space and wide-angle technology regardless of the viewing angle. The display also includes MSI exclusive True Color Technology, which provides different modes to best fit a user’s various usages.

For portability, the Modern 14 provides up to four USB ports in a small form factor. It features the highly efficient USB 3.2, which transfers 10x faster than USB 2.0. ULV technology ensures an impressive battery life, so that the laptop can be used flexibly even during long outdoor use. With up to 10 hours of battery life, working all day without charging is made possible. To further enhance audio, it features the Nahimic 3 Audio Enhancer, which provides astonishing sound optimizations and makes it possible to enjoy virtual surround sound using the existing audio equipment. Intel UHD Graphics 620: Integrated GPU (GT2, 24 EUs) found on some Kaby-Lake-Refresh CPU models (15 W ULV series). Technically identical to the previous Kaby-Lake GPU called HD Graphics 620.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

i5-10210U: Comet Lake based low power quad-core processor (technically identical to Whiskey Lake and still produced in 14nm++). The CPU cores can clock between 1.6 and 4.2 GHz (all 4 cores 3.9 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (8 threads). The integrated memory controller supports LPDDR4-2933 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (10 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default). There are hardly any tablets in this display size range anymore. For subnotebooks, on the other hand, it is the standard format.

The advantage of subnotebooks is that the entire laptop can be small and therefore easily portable. The smaller display also has the advantage of requiring less power, which further improves battery life and thus mobility. The disadvantage is that reading texts is more strenuous on the eyes. High resolutions are more likely to be found in standard laptops.
