MINISFORUM releases new mini-PC with high-end features and eGPU support for under $500
MINISFORUM is on a roll of late, having released various devices this summer. For example, the company has introduced mini-PCs like the MS-A1 (curr. $245.99 on Amazon) and UH125 Pro, as well as the DEG1 eGPU dock. Now, it has begun selling the UM880 Pro globally, roughly two months after its initial announcement in China.
For context, MINISFORUM gave the UM890 Pro the same treatment at the back end of June. This time, it is the turn of the UM880 Pro, which it is selling exclusively through AliExpress for the time being. While the UM880 Pro cannot be configured with the same AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS APU as the UM890 Pro, MINISFORUM offers the former instead with the slightly less powerful Ryzen 7 8845HS with an accompanying discount to boot.
Specifically, the UM880 Pro starts at $494.65 as a barebones unit. By contrast, its more powerful sibling currently costs at least $569.13, despite only surpassing its Ryzen 7 8845HS-powered sibling by about 2% in our benchmarks. Moreover, both APUs can be configured with a variety of RAM and storage options. As it stands, the UM880 Pro is available with as little as 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, all the way up to 64 GB of the latter and 4 TB of the former. Please see MINISFORUM's product page for further details.
