Lucid chops up to US$10,000 off prices for limited time as EV price war heats up

Premium EV brand Lucid has thus far sat out the ongoing EV price war, but it looks to be firmly throwing its hat into the ring with a recent price drop — at least until November 30. Lucid has dropped the prices of many of its electric offerings, but Lucid's flagship and low-end options remain unscathed.

Until November 30, the following Lucid vehicles will be discounted:

• Lucid Air Pure AWD — now US$74,900, down from US$82,400
• Lucid Air Touring — now 87,500, down from US$95,000
• Lucid Air Grand Touring — now US$115,600 down from US$125,600

This discount puts the Lucid Air Pure AWD significantly below the US$77,400 RWD Air Pure, which has more range, but less performance. The entry-level Lucid Air Pure AWD gets an estimated 410 miles of range and puts out 480 hp, putting it around the same US$74,990 base price as a base Dual Motor AWD Tesla Model S, although the Lucid has less power than the 670 hp Tesla.

At the high-end, the Lucid Air Grand Touring tops out at a whopping 516 miles of range and 1,050 hp, making it capable of touring comfortably while delivering a 0-60 mph time of as little as 2.6 seconds.
