The well-known German company Loewe has introduced a new wireless home cinema system. It’s called We Boost and promises an easy setup thanks to wireless Dolby Atmos, which doesn’t require new owners to run cables.
According to Loewe, We Boost is basically a plug-and-play system that is quickly ready to use. The 4.1.2-channel setup includes four wireless satellite speakers and a subwoofer for more bass. Therefore, We Boost is not centered around a soundbar, which is often the case with modern audio systems. That said, an optional center speaker can be added to the speaker array.
Audio signals are transmitted wirelessly via the included HDMI eARC dongle, which is lossless and doesn’t cause a noticeable delay according to the manufacturer. In addition to Dolby Atmos, Loewe We Boost also supports Dolby Digital and PCM. Meanwhile, its upward-firing speakers are supposed to create a spatial 3D sound for movies, music or games. The total power output of this speaker system is 720 watts.
Besides the center-out port, a line-in and Bluetooth are available in terms of connectivity. The included remote control uses the efficient Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) standard, while an integrated OLED display can be used to adjust settings such bass, treble and the various sound profiles.
The official MSRP for Loewe’s new We Boost home theater audio system is €999. It will become available this month and will be orderable directly from the manufacturer and authorized retailers in Europe.
