The latest limited edition variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 flagship targets South Korean consumers who play Lineage 2: Revolution, coming with a rich collection of freebies that includes in-game collectibles, a Samsung DeX, an HDMI cable, and various discount coupons for even more accessories.

Lineage 2: Revolution is an upcoming MMORPG game for mobile devices that is expected to launch soon, as its Google Play page is already up and allows all those interested to pre-register for being notified as soon as it becomes available. Even more, they will also get 200 Red Diamonds and a free Hero's Starter Pack that includes gear, armor, and loot. However, those who want even more freebies for Lineage 2: Revolution can also pre-order a limited edition Galaxy Note 8 handset.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Lineage 2: Revolution Edition has no cosmetic changes when compared to the regular edition, but its retail package looks tempting. To be more accurate, we should mention the following goodies: an HDMI cable, a Samsung DeX, and quite a few Lineage 2: Revolution in-game items.

This package also comes with a few gifts from SK Telecom, so the buyer also gets to choose between an Allo battery set and a Nemonic printer. At last, the Galaxy Note 8 Lineage 2: Revolution Edition comes with discount coupons for a Samsung battery pack and an Alcantara Galaxy Note 8 cover as well.

The pre-order period for this special-yet-not-so-special Galaxy Note 8 ends tomorrow. The price of a single package with all the goodies mentioned above is KR₩1,332,000 (around US$1,200) and only 10,000 units will hit the market. Obviously, only in South Korea.

Samsung released quite a few limited edition Galaxy S8 flagships so far, but most of them only retailed in South Korea. Sadly, those usually came with at least a few subtle design touches that suggested their theme. In this case, the Lineage 2: Revolution Edition definitely lacks a custom protective cover or a custom-painted back. Even so, given the popularity of MMORPG games in Asia, we guess those 10,000 units will find the path to their owners pretty quick.
