Deal | Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition laptop with 32 GB RAM gets $1,026 discount
When we reviewed the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition laptop back in August, we called the notebook “perhaps the best ThinkPad of the year”. Our remark was based on our review, in which the ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition earned an outstanding 90% rating and our “Top Rated” award. We are happy to report that Lenovo has now dropped the price of the ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition by a huge margin, making the laptop an even better machine.
You can currently buy the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H CPU, 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9600MT/s memory, and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage for just $2,053.03 on Lenovo's store. This is a huge $1,025.97 discount on the full list price. The discount becomes active when you apply the coupon codes LENOVODEAL and THINKPARTNER at checkout.
Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition is a MacBook Pro rival
As we mentioned in our review, the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition is a direct competitor to the Apple MacBook Pro. However, the laptop features a 15.3-inch panel, which makes it smaller than the MacBook Pro 16. So, it sits right between the MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16, while being lighter than both.
Talking about the display, the 15.3-inch OLED panel on offer here is stunning. It supports touch input and features a 120 Hz refresh rate. The panel also boasts 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and has a peak SDR brightness of 500 nits. The display also comes pre-calibrated out of the box. So, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better panel in a Prosumer laptop, aside from the latest MacBook Pro 14 and 16 with Tandem OLED displays.
Finally, the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition also performs great thanks to the Intel Panther Lake X7 358H. The Arc B390 iGPU, in particular, is quite good. We have seen it comfortably push AAA games in both laptops and handheld gaming consoles, and the case for the ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition is no different.
Finally, the ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition lasted for 18 hours and 20 minutes in our Wi-Fi websurfing test.
So, the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 15p Aura Edition has everything that a prosumer laptop should. It makes for quite a reasonable buy the current sales price.
