The long-awaited 6.4-inch Android phablet that brings Google Tango 3D to the masses can be purchased for $499.99 USD. The specs are those previously announced, including a QHD display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, next to 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

Just as promised, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is now available. This Android-powered handset has a very generous display and high-end specs, being the first one of its kind. Thanks to the Project Tango 3D technology, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro allows its users to interact with 3D maps generated from their real-world surroundings. Obviously, the first apps to take advantage of this are games.

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro has the following specs and features:

  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 SoC
  • Memory/Storage: 4 GB RAM; 64 GB internal storage and microSD support up to 256 GB (second SIM slot)
  • Display: 6.4-inch multitouch with 1,440X2,560 pixels
  • Cameras: 8 MP front, 16 MP rear
  • Connectivity: 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS and A-GPS, micro USB
  • Operating system: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
  • Weight/Dimensions: 0.57 pounds; 7.08X3.49X0.42 inches
  • Battery: 4,050 mAh
  • Colors: Champagne Gold, Gunmetal Gray

Unfortunately, the battery is non-removable, and when a microSD card is installed, the dual-SIM capabilities can no longer be used. In addition to all the above, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro also comes with Dolby Atmos audio and active noise cancellation with a dedicated microphone.

For now, only the gray variant is available. Those eager to check the augmented reality capabilities of the handset can enjoy on of the over 35 Tango-ready apps currently available.
