Finally, the Legion Y7000, Lenovo's basic gaming laptop, looks like the 15-inch will get the same processor and display options as the Y540 15, and the same GPU choices with the exception of the GTX 1050. The Y7000p is the Optane-optional model with some other slight configuration differences.

With the Ideapad L340-17API, Lenovo delivers a 17.3-inch laptop that can score points with a strong Ryzen 5 3500U APU, a solid state drive, good battery life and a quite good keyboard. Unfortunately, it does not lack weaknesses: In this case, a TN panel with unstable viewing angles is in use, and the RAM is only able to run in single-channel mode. In addition, there is no memory card reader.

Thanks to the Core i5-9300H processor and the GeForce GTX-1650 graphics core, the IdeaPad is able to bring all the current computer games smoothly to the matte 17.3-inch display (FHD, IPS). They are accompanied by a NVMe SSD, 16 GB of working memory, and a good battery life. Unfortunately, the working memory is only able to run in single-channel mode.

Okay, so this laptop is being one of Lenovo’s best effort to brand a line-up for extremely budget gaming and separate the Legion series as a more premium device at the same time. They surely succeeded with the first one, as the Ideapad L340 Gaming (17″) doesn’t look nor feel like a gaming laptop, whatsoever.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile: Mainstream graphics card based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 960M. Is manufactured in a 14nm process at Samsung and the technical specifications are very similar to the desktop version.

With this weight, a laptop is rather heavier than average. Devices in this range shine more with screen size and performance than with mobility.
79.57%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
