The Lenovo IdeaPad 720S is a laptop that proves you can sometimes get more if you pay less. Its more versatile than a lot of £1000-plus portable laptops because it has a separate graphics card, making it a passable gaming machine.

A tough chassis and excellent keyboard are real selling points for Lenovo's IdeaPad 720S, which although not exactly lightweight has plenty of connectivity options. However, the key feature is discrete graphics, which makes this is a laptop suitable for both work and play.

Tight bezel, decent CPU, and dedicated graphics, all crammed in to an almost impossibly small slimline aluminium case. Nice.

Not the slimmest or lightest laptop around, but an all-metal design, great screen, plenty of performance and good battery life combine to make the Lenovo IdeaPad 720S an excellent option for its price.

Still, the Lenovo IdeaPad 720s handles apps and programs well, starts quickly, looks nice and has some features you can’t get for its price elsewhere. You really can spend a little less on a Windows 10 laptop and still get some high-end finishes and options these days.

Carrying around the $909 IdeaPad 720S, I've come to appreciate its understated style; bright, colorful display; solid sound; and comfortable keyboard. If its 8-hour battery life were just slightly longer, this laptop would be even better.

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
