Leaker reveals uninspiring detail about rumoured Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Leaker @UniverseIce has shed more light on the state of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, months before Samsung is expected to unveil the device. For context, the Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold6 (curr. $1,679.99 - 512 GB on Amazon) will likely remain the company's premier devices until January 2025, when it introduces not just the Galaxy S25 Ultra but also the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus. Nonetheless, leakers have been sharing plenty of details about the Galaxy S25 series in the last few weeks, although it remains to be seen what any of them actually look like.

In the meantime, @UniverseIce claims to have obtained information about how large the Galaxy S25 Ultra is compared to its predecessors, full details of which we have covered separately. Additionally, the leaker believes that next year's Galaxy S Ultra smartphone will have more bevelled corners than previous models, which could help improve ergonomics. Unfortunately, @UniverseIce believes that Samsung will persist with one less loved aspect of its Galaxy S Ultra smartphones.

Specifically, the leaker reports that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will arrive with support for 45 W wired charging. If this is the case, then the Galaxy S25 Ultra would be the sixth Galaxy S Ultra smartphone to peak at 45 W. Also, it would see the Ultra matching the current Galaxy S24 Plus. Added to that, many Chinese competitors now offer 120 W or 125 W wired charging in their flagships, which can recharge a device in under 20 minutes. By contrast, it seems that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will land in January with an advertised charging capability of going from 0-65% in 30 minutes.
