Leaker reveals alleged PlayStation 5 Pro design and highlights differences from existing Sony game consoles

Rumours about Sony releasing a new entry in its PlayStation 5 (PS5) lineup have been hotting up again recently. While typically reliable sources shared information about the PS5 Pro in early spring, speculation about Sony's next console has only really started up again in the last few weeks.

Now, @billbil_kun has shared a sketch of what they claim is the PS5 Pro's final design. Ultimately, the image below suggests that the PS5 Slim (curr. $499 on Amazon) is a good approximation of how its Pro counterpart will look. For example, the PS5 Pro is said to have been designed with a modular disk drive, allowing it to sell two variants.

Undoubtedly, these will arrive as the PS5 Pro and PS5 Pro Digital Edition, with the latter shipping without a disk drive in the box. However, @billbil_kun alleges that the PS5 Pro will be thicker than its 'Slim' sibling and will gain three black stripes between its four removable side plates. Currently, the PS5 Pro is expected to land next month with a standard DualSense controller in the box, as well as a pair of USB Type-C ports and a power button adorning its front side.
