Leaked renders show the LG Stylo 7's rear panel is designed to accentuate its pen silo
Smartphone design often seems to have come to a point where every device from every OEM looks more or less the same from the back: simple rectangles of (usually) glass only interrupted by large equally four-sided (or, if the consumer is lucky, round) camera humps of ever-increasing size and thickness. Therefore, some leaked renders allegedly pertaining to 2021 LG phones may come as a breath of fresh air.
This manufacturer is already linked to an innovative triangular rear camera in a potential Q-series mid-ranger. Now, there are signs that similar thought has gone into the successor for the Stylo 6. This rumor is based on allegedly official CAD files leaked from LG.
They show a device with pronunced long divots running along either side of an S Pen-like silo. This unusual tweak also gives the impression of very thin edges, although the rest of the rear panel next to the narrow rear camera module (for up to 4 sensors) is the same thickness as the resulting "pen hump".
These images, then, may translate into a real-world phone with a distinctive rear-panel finish. on the other hand, its extra features may mean glass is out of the question for this putative pen-toting smartphone.
