Leaked Canadian pricing for the Google Pixel 4 and 4XL should leave fans breathing a little easier

It seems like there is some good news and bad news for expectant Google Pixel fans who are currently considering a Pixel 4 or Pixel 4 XL purchase. Noted leaker Evan Blass has shared the Canadian pricing structure for the four SKUs on Twitter, and while the amounts are considerably lower than what may have been previously expected, the Pixel 4 lineup is still far from being an easily affordable range of smartphones.

Apparently, Pixel 4 buyers in Canada will have to part with CAD$1,049.95 to get their hands on the 64 GB storage version of the regular handset or part with an extra CAD$150 to enjoy 128 GB of storage space. The same amount, CAD$1,199.95, has been earmarked for the 64 GB variant of the Google Pixel 4 XL and the 128 GB model will be priced at CAD$1,359.95.

Of course, many Pixel fans will balk at the hefty prices; however, Google’s pricing structure for the Pixel 4 family seems all too familiar nowadays for flagship smartphones. Other major OEMs, such as Samsung and Apple, are happy to price their products at similar and even higher levels, depending on the configuration (e.g. the 512 GB version of the iPhone 11 Pro Max costs US$1,449).
