LTE at an entry-level price. LG offers an affordable entry-level smartphone with LTE functionality for 119 Euros (~$133), dubbed K4 LTE. That is, however, its only highlight. The review sample makes a rather outdated impression in all other aspects. Have too many cutbacks been made?
Source: Recombu

The biggest barrier for the K4 is that low price however, as handsets like the Motorola Moto E and new Vodafone Smart Prime 7 offer even more phone (4G, a 720p HD display, higher resolution cameras and a partly metal build in the case of the Prime 7) for even less. The LG K4 has its place, but we wouldn't call it a worthwhile purchase in the long run.

Pitch-dark. LG's K10 wants to add style to the lower mid-range. Read why its screen and the camera's gloomy photos stand in its way in this report.
Source: PC Mag

The LG K10 is a relatively affordable MetroPCS phone with a nice design and a decent display, but it comes up short everywhere else. For even less money, the ZTE Zmax Pro gets you a faster processor, more RAM, a sharper display, a better camera, longer battery life, and a fingerprint sensor. It's a better choice in every way, provided you're comfortable with the fact that it's huge. If that's not your cup of tea, the Samsung Galaxy On5 offers a similar level of performance to the K10 in a smaller form factor, and is easier to recommend because of its lower price.

If you're looking for one of the cheapest GSM phones on the market and are willing to compromise on camera quality, battery life, screen resolution and performance, the LG K10 is worth considering, particularly if you can get it for less than $100 or for free. However, if you can spend up to $200, the Huawei Honor 5X, which has a full 1080p screen and longer battery life, is a superior choice.

LG's interface has become simpler and less cartoonish over the years and it doesn't introduce any lag as such on the K10, but at the same time, this is no blazing fast phone. LG says the glossy pebble design is meant to appeal to young people but yet, the performance on the phone isn't fast enough to satisfy the content-hungry gaming youngster.

The LG K10 brings freshness to the mid-range, but the competition in this price range is more than fierce, so it will be difficult for this device to become a breakthrough. With the exception of the not so enduring battery, we have no other remarks as regards this model. We were pleased by its nice design and the 13Mp camera, which showed decent results. The Snapdragon 410 chip justified our expectations of reasonable performance and maintenance of low exterior temperatures after load. LG’s UI, on the other hand, did not fail to provide a number of pre-installed apps, modes and functions – all this being ordered and dressed very neatly. Last but not least is the 5.3″ display, which offers not only enough room for operation, but also reasonable detail and color contrast, thanks to the HD resolution and IPS technology.

LG has given the K10 LTE an MRP of Rs. 13,750, which straight up feels way too much for what's on offer. It feels like the phone is competing with the wrong crowd, and it's hard to justify this price tag with this feature set in mid-2016. A more appropriate price level would be about half this much, considering there's nothing really special about it other than its design, a good screen, and decent battery life.

The LG K10 LTE scores when it comes to the build quality of the phone and design, but fails to impress with its specifications and internal features. For the price of Rs, 13,500, the phone comes with an average display, which is a let down. Although the macro shots are good , the camera is not the best for the price. Next up, the phone lacks a fingerprint sensor. It is 2016 and you got to have a fingerprint sensor on your device, at least for a price like this.

The LG K7 LTE feels out of place in today's cut-throat budget smartphone segment. The good battery life and design aside, it falls short on pretty much every count. Then there's the price - at Rs. 9,500, it's simply too expensive to even consider when you have phones like the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus, Coolpad Note 3, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, all of which perform better and are less expensive.

To sum up, the K7 LTE is a phone that offers good build quality and performs well. However, the display is just FWVGA, which is not impressive. For a price of Rs 9,500, the display should have been at least 720p. The rear camera is also just 5MP, whereas other phones in this price range offer 8MP or 13MP rear camera. All in all, the K7 LTE does fail to justify its price tag with low specifications.

The LG K8 is a solid all-round affordable mobile that gives the excellent Vodafone Smart Prime 7 a run for its money. If you're after a no-frills everyday handset or a dependable second mobile for taking to festivals and the rest, we'd happily recommend it. Of course, Vodafone customers will likely prefer the Smart Prime 7, which at just £75 offers even better value for your cash. If you're on a different network, the K8 is a good alternative.

LG K10 2017
The LG K10 (2017) may not be a flagship phone but it does have some interesting features worth mentioning. It boasts a curved elemental design, which sees it being more curvaceous on its corners. Its curves are complemented with the smooth edges of 2.5D Arc glass and this makes the K10 pleasant to the grip. It is mostly plastic built with a metallic border finish. This gives the K10 an added touch towards a more premium feel. The choices of colors available are gold, black and titanium. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa core processor with 2 GB of RAM. The K10 generally runs smoothly without noticeable sluggishness. It is perfect for web surfing , social networking and watching videos. However, it may not be suitable for running demanding games or software. The integration of a fingerprint sensor is a fine addition to the K10 as it is after all a mid-range phone. This increases the security of the smartphone and its content. Furthermore, it is upgraded with Quick Shutter and Quick Capture features. This means that the fingerprint sensor doubles up as a button for snapping shots. LG seems game on winning the hearts of shutterbugs with this smartphone as it is enhanced with features for capturing best moments. For optics, the K10 is fitted with a 13 MP rear facing camera with a large 1/3" sensor and an ultra-bright F2.2 lens. This allows images to be captured with clarity even under low light condition. Furthermore, its 5 MP front-facing camera has an ultra-wide 120 degree field of view which allows users to cram in more buddies to their selfies. The photo quality on the other hand is not good enough mainly due to its low resolution camera. Switching between this wide view and a normal portrait mode is easily executed with the touch of a button. Selfie shots can also be effortlessly captured with the integrated Auto Shot function. A Quick Share button is available on its preview window to allow users to share pictures and videos fast and easily. Display-wise, it comes with an HD (1280x720) display, which is bright and clear. Another notable feature of the K10 is its removable 2,800 mAh battery which is rare on smartphones these days. The 16 GB storage available is rather limited yet easily expandable with a microSD slot. Overall, the K10 offers good performance, camera quality, and features at a mid-range price point. It will be interesting to see how the K10 goes up against its similarly priced Chinese rivals. Chinese phones tend to have better specs compared to the LG K10. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Power to the people. The LG K10 (2017) brings considerably more power than its predecessor and provides an even better quality casing. A polished performance for slightly over 200 Euros (~$217), but of course we will take a more careful look at the smartphone in the test. Update: New build brings general improvements and security updates.

LG K10 (2017)is hard to recommend given there are a lot better options in the same price range. For Rs 13,000, you can easily get a bigger battery, Full HD display, and definitely a better design (that’s subjective though) in a smartphone. For instance, there’s Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Moto G5, Lenovo Vibe K5 Note or even Honor 6X that offers a dual rear camera setup means that for LG K10, convincing potential buyers will be very hard.

At R3 899 the LG K10 doesn’t break the bank, but ultimately left me unconvinced. The wide-angle front facing camera and Android Nougat are not enough to make it a certain pick from the midrange bowl. The real killer for me was the K10’s underwhelming HD screen (720 x 1280), which if it was Full HD could have had me rooting for it. Ultimately, if you can spend a bit more you will find better midrange offerings.

To conclude, the LG K10 2017 has a compact and sleek design coupled with some above average display and has an advantage of running on Android 7.0 Nougat. However, looking at the sheer specs sheet, the device falls flat when compared to the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Coolpad Cool 1, Honor 6X, which offers superior performance, coupled with some premium design language.

The LG K10 looks to be a serviceable smartphone. It doesn’t do anything that really makes it standout, but it offers all the features you’d want from a mid-to-low tier device in a package which is highly usable, if not a looker.

Good for beginners. This phone is really an ideal first smartphone: if you are not accustomed to smartphones, you will have no difficulties navigating through the home screens, switching between two SIM cards or taking notes on the smartphone. Everyone else will probably not be satisfied with the level of the LG K4's hardware.

LG K8 2017
The LG K8 (2017) may be a basic phone yet considering its low cost factor, it does have plenty to offer. It is now a good looking phone compared to the 2016 K8. It comes in a slim and trim profile which is largely made of plastic which is made to look like metal. It features a crosshatch patterned back which feels great in the hand and provides a comfortable grip. In these times where phablets are the way to go, its small 5.0-inch form factor may not be an appeal to the masses, but there are still quite a few who prefer this size. Nevertheless its compactness renders this smartphone easily pocketable without the obviousness of a bulge. It is also pretty lightweight at 157 g and highly suitable for one-handed operation. The choice of colors available is silver, titan, gold, and dark blue. The performance of this smartphone is driven by the lower-end 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad core processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. The K8 generally runs smoothly without noticeable sluggishness. It is ideal for web surfing , social networking and watching videos. However, users may want to consider higher-end smartphones than the K8 for running demanding games or apps. The available storage is 16 GB is rather limited, but the storage capacity can be easily expanded by up to 32 GB with a microSD card. For optics, the K8 is fitted with a 13 MP rear facing camera with Zero Lag and Autofocus as well as a 5 MP front-facing camera. Images captured are pretty decent and average. Again, these specs are definitely not slated for hard-core shutterbugs. Nonetheless, the gesture interval shot feature integrated on board allows users to take four selfies in sequence simply by raising their hands and making a fist twice. Display-wise, it comes with a HD (1280x720 resolution) display, which is bright and clear. It is also coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection against scratches. Another notable feature of the K10 is its 2,800 mAh battery, which is removable (a rarity on smartphones these days). Its battery life is pretty decent taking into account its screen size and resolution. The battery life would most probably beat many flagship devices with larger batteries. It comes pre-installed with Android OS Nougat. Overall, one can hardly find anything wrong with the K8. It offers good mid-range performance, camera quality, and features at a budget price point. It is on par with its rivals such as the Moto G. In many ways, it is rather similar to its sibling the K10. Those preferring the 5.5-inch form factor with a fingerprint sensor can consider the K10 instead. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

Little brother. The 2017 LG K8 is a little more affordable, a little smaller, and less powerful than the LG K10. But is it perhaps the better deal for all those who are just looking for an affordable smartphone? We find out in our test. Update: A new build version brings general improvements and security updates.

LG’s K20 Plus is a fine phone, but it’s not future-proofed — it has a microUSB port for charging instead of the more common USB-C, and there’s no indication the phone, currently running Nougat, will be upgradable to Android Oreo anytime soon.

A cheeky little phone, but one that needs a price to really show whether it's a great creation from LG. It doesn't excel in many areas, but for a budget phone it doesn't offer up too many issues either.

LG K30
The LG K30 is a reasonably capable budget Android smartphone. Hardware-wise, the LG K30 is far from being impressive, but that's not the point considering it is a low-end device. The phone comes running Android 7.1 Nougat with some pre-installed apps. The K30 is made of a sturdy mix of plastic and metal. While there are still bezels at the ends and the sides of the K30 screen, the presentation renders them to be quite understated, letting the screen stand at the center of the stage. In fact, having a little bezel on the sides lessens accidental presses while typing or playing a game. The phone is equipped with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 32 GB expandable storage. Those who need more storage will be able to expand up to 2 TB, thanks to the microSD card slot on board. This choice of processor easily gets bulldozed by the engines powering many contemporary eight-core smartphones. Octa-core engines are no longer that rarely-seen in the entry-level smartphone market. Hence, this is a slight let down. The LG K30's screen is a fairly clear 5.3-inch, 1,280-by-720 HD panel with 277 pixels per inch. It uses the TFT display architecture, which is one of the cheapest screen types around. However, it comes with a 2.5D-curved glass finish, although this facet is not that uncommon, even in the lowest Android tier. Furthermore, the K30 sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The 13-megapixel rear-facing camera comes with typical LG imaging functions, such as Cheese Shutter and Live Shot. The selfie camera has a Selfie Light function, which aims to brighten up selfies. For input and output, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a micro USB charging port are on the bottom. Besides that, a SIM/microSD card slot on the right worked fine with a 256 GB card. It is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor to easily unlock the phone. The K30 is powered by a 3000 mAh battery pack. This sounds reasonable, even though it far from resembling those of the top big-battery phones with its 12-hour talk time (720 minutes). In essence, the LG K30 is a mediocre smartphone in terms of processing components and display, but it has its strengths, particularly on the multimedia storage and battery capacity fronts. It is ideal for casual users on a budget or users who prefer only the essentials. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

The LG K40 is an affordable smartphone that includes a few tricks, such as DTS-X sound support. However, has the South Korean manufacturer focussed too much on flashy features and forgotten to get the basics right? Our rigorous tests will reveal all in this detailed review.

LG K50
The LG K50 model is recently launched to cater for mid-range mobile phone users. LG has been floating around within the smartphone industry for a long time. Albeit rather relatively discreet, this launch is one way of reiterating to the public that they are still doing well in the smartphone industry. Originating from South Korea, LG is that one brand that is still surprisingly capable of competing with other smartphone manufacturers. Mid-tier smartphones as a distinct category of its own have its fair share of competition, but LG K50 is proven to be worth the money and can be considered for purchase without bleeding out of one’s budget expenditure. The LG K50 model’s main key features are a 6.26” HD FullVision display, a dual rear camera, a 13 MP front camera, AI Cam, DTX:X 3D Surround Sound and Dual Sim. LG K50’s dimension is 30.3 inch (77 mm) in width and 63.5 inch (161.3 mm) in length making it comfortable to be used single-handedly. Visually speaking, it is a very appealing phone and the screen does not feel minimized at all. Reading, viewing documents and pictures should not be a hassle with its 6.26 inch display. Performance wise, the LG K50 uses the 2.0 GHz octa-core processor that enables the device to operate without any apparent hiccup. It also comes with 32 GB storage thus providing ample capacity for users who are always on the go. It is also compatible with SD cards for users who seek extra space for their usage. It is strongly recommended that users who are looking for performance in their smartphones to take into account on the capacity of the RAM and processor that this phone happens to feature. Using a dual rear camera and a 13 MP front camera feels more or less the same within the smartphones in the same price-range. This smartphone is relatively a decent phone when it comes to taking picture or making video calls. Like most smartphone models within its price range, it is still considered as decent and suitable for anyone who doesn’t penalizes the quality of pictures taken on a mediocre device with intense scrutiny. Conclusively speaking, the LG K50 is not entirely a bad phone at all. Depending on the preference of the users, rather to be used as the primary mobile device, it can potentially be a great makeshift secondary phone that will enable the user to still continue their work or to multitask all at the same time. Differences are inherently there, but without thorough or proper investigative discretion, they are not entirely visible per se. Hands-on article by Jagadisa RajarathnamSpecifications

The LG K50 seems well priced at around 200 Euros (~$223) for what the South Korean company has included. The device has a large display, dual rear-facing cameras and a dedicated Google Assistant button, although some may find the latter somewhat of a gimmick. Read on to find out how the handset performs in our tests and how it fares against comparably priced devices.

Will even an inexpensive smartphone like the LG K51S still be allowed to bring Android 9 in 2020? And is it worthwhile to buy it thanks to the quadruple camera and NFC, despite the older operating system? These are just two of the questions we want to answer in this review of the LG cell phone.

While I have a bit of a soft spot for this phone's design and camera, it's hard to recommend it. As I said with the TCL 10L, you may be better off getting something like the TCL Plex from last year, which is often discounted to be cheaper than this one.

The LG K42 so far has gained great impressions in its design, it is a military-grade MLT-STD-816G complaint, has a unique wave pattern on the back, and gives a comfortable grip. The display on the other hand is bright despite being a 720p. But due to the weak CPU and the average cameras, rivals may outperform the LG K42. It can be a good alternative to the Chinese rivals, as far as you are not concerned about the performance and cameras.

Summarising the LG K42, the phone has a new design, a large display, a decent battery life and an average camera performance. Though the phone fairs well on many fronts, what may not work is the price segment in which it falls. Brands like Xiaomi, Realme and for that matter, even Samsung offer multiple options in this price range. And to be fair, they come with more features than offered by LG K42. At Rs 10,990, LG K42 may not be a deal-breaker, but if you can get hold of it at a lesser price, it can be a good option.

The LG K42 is a good looking device, but fails to stand out in any other area. The phone’s looks are great and can turn heads, but a phone that doesn’t have the performance, the camera optics, or the battery life to stand out in a sea of competitors cannot be a good recommendation. Further, the LG K42’s grippy and good looking back is rendered pointless if you have to snap on a case to protect the phone anyway.

If you want an entry-level smartphone that looks and feels far beyond its price, the LG K51 just might be for you. It’s large and in charge, and the display and speaker are great for streaming videos and music. Even better, the 4,000mAh battery lasts longer than all day, and the headphone jack means you can keep your favorite songs to yourself. However, this isn’t a processing powerhouse, and you might want to look elsewhere if you have gaming or heavy usage in mind. There are also question marks over support, as LG has decided to withdraw from the smartphone business. If you’re concerned with software and security updates (you should be!) then there are more reliable alternatives. The LG K51 sits close to the OnePlus Nord N200 ($239) in terms of pricing, though OnePlus has the better spec sheet by a solid margin, not to mention that the N200 offers 5G on T-Mobile’s network. You may also want to give Motorola’s Moto G series a look, especially the Moto G Power ($249). One final rival to consider is Nokia’s 5.4 ($249) with four times the storage, a pacier processor, and better cameras on both sides.

68.46%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
