Deal | LG Gram 17 with Intel Lunar Lake processor, 32 GB RAM and 1 TB storage gets attractive discount at Best Buy

Those on the lookout for a lightweight laptop with a large screen will be pleased to know the new LG Gram 17 variant (model number: 17Z90TL-H.AUB6U3) has just been discounted at Best Buy. It weighs 3.22lbs (~1.4 kg) and comes with Intel's newest Lunar Lake processors, which, unfortunately, means you can't upgrade its RAM.

It features a 17-inch WQXGA (2560×1600) IPS LCD panel that offers up to 99% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour gamut. LG claims the new Gram 17's 77 Wh cell can offer up to 23 hours of battery life. But this only happens under test conditions, and the real-life backup time might vary according to your workload. Still, Lunar Lake is one of the more power-efficient architectures out there, so you won't have to look for a charger every few hours.

The new LG Gram 17 is powered by Intel's Core Ultra 7 258V SoC. For memory and storage, it comes with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 1 TB NVMe SSD. A dGPU is not present, and you have to rely on the Intel Arc iGPU. For I/O, you get Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two Thunderbolt 4.0 ports, a 3.5 mm combo audio jack, an HDMI port and two USB 3.2 Type-A ports. Because it uses a Lunar Lake chip with Intel's new NPU, it is Windows Copilot+ certified and comes with a dedicated key to invoke the assistant.

While we haven't reviewed the LG Gram 17 version mentioned above yet, we did have a look at its last-gen Meteor Lake-powered counterpart. But that can't be used for an apples-to-apples comparison, at least in performance, because the two architectures are remarkably different. The laptop has been discounted at Best Buy and can be bought for $1,299, $400 lower than its asking price of $1,699 and the cheapest it has been so far since launch.
