LG G3 reportedly selling 3 times as fast as the Galaxy S5 in Korea
It's been only a week since LG announced their G3 smartphone, yet the device appears to be in higher demand than anybody could have expected. Korean media websites are reporting that the G3 is flying off shelves and besting the Samsung Galaxy S5 on its own turf.
According to Korean media outlet etnews.com, the G3 has been selling at numbers exceeding 25-30,00 units per day since it was first released in the country on the 28th of May. That figure is twice as many as the previous LG G2 managed last year, and even more surprisingly, three times as many as the Galaxy S5 which is moving at a rate of ~8,000 units per day.
As if that astonishing rate of sales wasn't enough, it is also being reported that LG has spent a fraction of what Samsung has spent on advertising, hoping for the G3's specs to speak for themselves. In any case, Samsung has to be worried about what this means for their flagship device and we'll have to see how the G3 fares when it eventually reaches the rest of the globe.
