Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-loaded on Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 and will hit multiple devices from Google and other brands later this month, while the first LG device to receive this update is LG G3. The South Korean company has just confirmed this in a press release, although they only announced the first market to receive the new firmware, namely Poland.
According to the official press release, LG "will begin rolling out the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for G3 smartphones starting in Poland this week" while other market will follow "in the near future."
Android Central reported yesterday that leaked Lollipop builds for LG G3 can be already found online. This firmware packs various tweaks and exclusive features, including KnockOn, Tap & Go, as well as LG's Dialer, Messages, and Calendar apps, reveals the same source.
US-based carriers still have to announce their Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade schedule for LG devices. We will get back to the topic as soon as that happens.
