Supposed renders of the smartphone leak as the company denies any official press events scheduled for March 9th.

The official premier of the next Huawei smartphone was expected to come on March 9th, but a recent message from blogging service Weibo shot down the rumor claiming that it was based on pure speculation. The smartphone was even expected to make an appearance at CES 2016 and ended up being MIA for the entirety of the conference.

Now, new information has surfaced on the P9 with a handful of supposed press renders showing the device from multiple angles. The images match up nicely with the leaked images last week where an unfinished model shows the same dual rear cameras, Flash, fingerprint sensor, and potential laser auto-focus modules.

According to previous rumors, the P9 could be launching as four SKUs of differing screen sizes and specifications. The P9 Lite, P9, P9 Max, and P9 Premium have been mentioned as phones ranging from 5 inches all the way up to 6.8 inches with Kirin 950 processors, 1920 x 1080 and 2560 x 1440 resolution panels, 12 MP or 13 MP cameras, and 4 to 6 GB of RAM.

The Chinese manufacturer recently launched the Mate 8 smartphone to universal acclaim and currently sits alongside Apple and Samsung as one of the world's largest smartphone manufacturers.
