Hamilton's Swiss-made 300m automatic stainless-steel diver falls nearly 60% in both sizes

Ashford currently has both steel versions of Hamilton's Khaki Navy Frogman Auto priced below half of list, and the more wearable 41 mm case ends up costing only $17.60 more than the 46 mm original.

The 41 mm H77485130 is listed at $679, down from $1,395, with coupon code HAM12 taking a further 12% off to $597.52. The 46 mm H77815130 starts lower at $659, which the same code brings to $579.92. The larger case has the steeper cut at 52%, but the gap between the two is actually quite small enough that size should decide the purchase rather than the discount. Post coupon discounts, however, both watches are 57% and 58% off respectively, which is a steal for a timepiece of this caliber.

Internally they are identical. Both use the H-10 automatic, Hamilton's version of the ETA C07.611, with an 80-hour power reserve and a Nivachron balance spring rated against magnetism, shocks and temperature swings. Both are water resistant to 30 bar (300 m), both put a screw-down crown under the bridge-style guard (that replaced the older canteen lock in the 2022 redesign), and both come with anti-reflective sapphire.

As mentioned earlier, differences are purely dimensional. Hamilton lists the 41 mm case at 13.09 mm thick on 20 mm lugs, against 13.58 mm and 22 mm lugs for the 46 mm. Roughly half a millimeter separates them in height, so the smaller case drops 5 mm of diameter without becoming proportionally chunkier.

Some context that explains why Ashford is discounting these two so hard: Hamilton's own pages now list both references as past collection and unavailable to order. Stock elsewhere has not followed the same. Chrono24 sellers are asking $1,219 to $1,395 for the 41 mm, and WatchMaxx lists it at $1,182.

Also, there are two caveats. Ashford's 46 mm entry specifies a travel case instead of full packaging, and free shipping covers only the contiguous United States.
