Renders of the HTC U11 Plus leaked earlier in the day, and it looks like we're closer than ever to the launch of HTC's new flagship, with the company sending out an announcement for an event scheduled for November 2.
The HTC U11 was released earlier in the year but failed to receive the media coverage and attention it deserved, in spite of its mostly positive critical reception. The U11 Plus is expected to be HTC's second attempt at delivering a flagship that can compete with the industry's finest offering for the year. We had a number of gripes with HTC launching being so close to other, more-established flagships but it's looking to be a fine decision by the company, as both the Pixel and Mate flagships have come under fire for a number of reasons.
The U11 Plus is expected to sport a 6-inch QHD display, albeit in the 18:9 aspect ratio. Delays with producing a successor to the Snapdragon 835 means that the U11 Plus will still run on it. It will support HTC's Edge Sense, carry a 4000 mAh battery, and come in two memory configurations ( 4 GB + 64 GB, 6 GB + 128 GB).
