HP has announced the Chromebase 21.5-inch All-in-One Desktop, the first Chromebase AiO with a rotating display. HP's effort is available with up to 16 GB of RAM, a Core i3-10110U and a 256 GB NVMe SSD.

While many Chrome OS-based tablets and laptops are on the market, there are not many All-in-One (AiO) desktops. According to HP, its Chromebase 21.5-inch All-in-One Desktop is also the first of its kind with a rotating display. In a press release, HP states that the Chromebase AiO can rotate 90° and 20° upwards.

The company complements the 21.5-inch FHD panel with an Intel Pentium Gold 6405U or a Core i3-10110U, which are both Comet Lake-U and 15 W processors. However, the Core i3-10110U performed up to 60% better than the Pentium Gold 6405U in our tests.

HP's Chromebase AiO is available with between 4 GB and 16 GB of RAM too, along with 64 GB of eMMC flash storage or a 128 GB/256 GB NVMe SSD. Incidentally, HP boasts that the AiO has Bang & Olufsen speakers, although we do not have high hopes for dual 5 W drivers.

The Chromebase AiO, like the Chromebook x2 11, will start at US$599.99. Similarly, the AiO will be available this month from third-party retailers, such as Amazon and Best Buy, with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard in the box.
