The HP ZBook Create G7 comes within an eyelash of an Editors' Choice award, missing only because it's awfully expensive and a tad hot to the touch. But make no mistake, this is a world-class laptop, combining stunning performance with a spectacular screen, splendid sound, and the superb design and engineering we've seen in ZBook workstations. Any visual or multimedia professional would be lucky to have one.

The HP Create G7 is an outstanding creative's mobile workstation capable of multitasking some pretty serious multimedia apps, but all the powerful hardware packed in it's slender frame means it runs pretty hot from the moment you turn it on. Still, this is one of the best, if not the best, Windows 10 laptops out there for creatives - if you can afford it.

The HP ZBook Create G7 is not for everyone—mostly because most people do not require anywhere near this much power—but if you're a professional who needs every ounce of CPU Intel has to offer, it's hard to go wrong with this notebook. Our configuration cost well over $4,000, but you can step down a few of the components to save some money if need be,like moving from an i9 to a still-great i7.

The HP ZBook Create G7 is extremely fast, it's got a fantastic screen for creative work and it has a sleek chassis that boasts impressive connectivity and a high-quality keyboard. For many people, it's an ideal creative option that offers more power at better prices than rivals from Dell and Apple. However, the hot exterior, middling battery life and keyboard layout issues may prove too difficult to ignore depending on your workflow.
