Reviews for the HP Stream 14-z050ng

76% HP Stream 14-z050ng Notebook Review | Notebookcheck
Windows Chromebook. HP tries to compete with Google's Chromebooks with a slim 14-inch Windows notebook. An AMD APU works inside. The concept sounds good, but is it really convincing?

AMD Radeon R3 (Mullins/Beema):

Integrated GPU on select AMD Beema or Mullins APUs. Based on the GCN architecture with 128 shader units and a core clock of 350 - 600 MHz.

Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards. » Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
A4 Micro-6400T: Quad-core APU for tablets, codenamed Mullins. Based on the Puma+ architecture and integrates a Radeon R3 GPU.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
14":

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.
1.62 kg:

This weight is typical for very big tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 11-13 inch display-diagonal.
