Reviews for the HP Spectre x360 14-ef0073ng

80% HP Spectre x360 14 review: OLED makes a great 2-in-1 even better
Source: PC World English
Even with the decrease in battery life, we welcome the addition of the OLED display to the Spectre x360. It’s one of those features that once you’ve experienced it, you will never go back to the old way of a plain-Jane IPS LCD display. The gains in contrast and color dynamics are just too great. Plus, with OLED displays beginning to trickle down to midrange laptops, buyers should certainly expect an OLED on a high-end model like the Spectre x360. OLED aside, it’s one of the best looking 2-in-1 convertibles on the market. The brownish-black chassis is unique without being garish, and the all-metal chassis is rock-solid if a tad heavy. With its U series processor and integrated graphics, it’s a better fit for general office tasks than creative work. Despite the drop in battery life, the Spectre x360 remains one of our favorite 2-in-1 business convertibles.

HP Spectre x360 14 (14-ef0000) review

Earlier, we said that the I/O is pretty limited. While this is true, it is good to see that the two Thunderbolt 4 connectors are paired with a USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) port and a MicroSD card reader. By the way, the former is possible thanks to a jaw-like mechanism, which is closed by default, thus saving space. Ultimately, we find the Spectre x360 14 (14-ef0000) to be a very good purchase option. Make sure you find a way not to pay for an additional Pen because some competitors of the brand can provide you with just this. For instance, the AMD version of the Lenovo Yoga 7 (14″, 2022) is an absolute unit of a convertible, and it features a stylus inside the box.

Intel Iris Xe G7 96EUs: Integrated graphics card in Intel Tiger Lake G4 SoCs based on the new Gen. 12 architecture with 96 EUs (Execution Units / Shader Cluster). The clock rate depends on the processor model. The Tiger Lake chips are produced in the modern 10nm+ process at Intel.

Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.

13.50":

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

1.36 kg:

In former time,s this weight was typical for big tablets, small subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles with a 10-11 inch display-diagonal. Nowadays, often 15 inch laptops weigh as much.

Major product lines include personal computing devices, enterprise servers, related storage devices, as well as a diverse range of printers and other imaging products. Up to 2015, the company was named Hewlett Packard Company. After a split, the computer range was renamed to HP Inc.

In the laptop segment, HP was the world's largest manufacturer from 2014 to 2016 with a market share of 20-21% from 2014 to 2016, but they only exceed Lenovo by a small margin as of recently. HP is not present in the smartphone sector (as of 2016).

80%: This rating is not convincing. The laptop is evaluated below average, this is not really a recommendation for purchase.
