We assume HP.com's $899 sale for the Windows 11 Home equivalent of our test system won't last for more than a few days after this review appears, but at that price it's a steal. A capable, lightweight convertible with a spiffy OLED screen for under $1,000 is a bargain too good to pass by. That said, it's a deal that's bound to be seen again before the end of the year, likely during the Black Friday rush. Even judging this Envy x360 13.3 configuration by its regular price of $1,199, it almost unseats the Yoga 7i 14 Gen 7 as our Editors' Choice among affordable 2-in-1 laptops. With that in mind, the HP Envy x360 is a great alternative if you feel like treating yourself to an OLED instead of an IPS display. Kudos to HP for producing such a deal of a system.

I loved the HP Spectre x360 13.5, which enjoys a more elegant design, faster performance, and an equally good display. But the Envy x360 13 is a lot less expensive, and it is, therefore, a more formidable competitor to the MacBook Air M1 and M2 than its sibling. In fact, I’m not sure that there’s a midrange 13-inch laptop that’s better than the Envy. The Dell XPS 13 is more expensive, and it doesn’t offer the same display quality no matter how much you spend. And at $730, no Apple laptop can touch it.

Review of the 2022 HP ENVY X360 that comes with an OLED display for a pretty fair price! This is the model that comes with an Intel I7-1260P processor. The pen also comes in the box!

Above all, this display size is used for subnotebooks, ultrabooks and convertibles. For all three types, this size is quite large. The biggest variety of subnotebooks is represented with this size.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
