HP introduced several ProBook 4 models today with Intel and AMD CPUs, but they are not classified as Copilot+ PCs due to their weak NPU. For those who would like to leverage AI even further, HP is offering the ProBook 4 G1q 14.
The ProBook 4 G1q 14 uses the Snapdragon X1P-26-100 SoC that includes a 45 TOPS NPU, making the laptop eligible for Copilot+ PC branding. Buyers can configure the ProBook 4 G1q with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to a 1 TB NVMe SSD.
According to HP, the 45 TOPS NPU can help with demanding business operations including analyzing documents and managing settings, with the flexibility to select between on-device and cloud processing as needed.
Unlike the Intel and AMD variants of the ProBook 4, the ProBook 4 G1q comes in only a 14-inch screen size and offers several 1200p panels to choose from. Aside from this, the G1q shares many features with its Intel and AMD counterparts including a 5 MP webcam, a 56 Whr battery, and a similar array of ports.
The differences primarily lie in the presence of 2x USB4 40 Gbps ports instead of 20 Gbps in the Intel and AMD models, and the use of Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3 or FastConnect 7800 Wi-Fi 7 with Bluetooth 5.4 network adapters.
