Overall, the HP Omen 17 (2021, 17-ck0000) is a solid gaming device. The build quality is good except for the lid which can be a bit spongy if you twist it. We are a bit disappointed because the lid and the bottom plate are made of plastic and the end-price of this machine is on the high side. However, the base of the laptop is stable and rigid. HP Omen 17 (2021, 17-ck0000) is a good gaming device that comes with a comfortable keyboard, powerful hardware under the bonnet, a good cooling solution that is almost quiet under heavy load. The good upgradability options and the rich-in port I/O are making this device one of the best gaming offers on the market.

is not the case with the HP Omen 17. The gaming laptop fully utilizes its potential regarding the TDP and TGP of the Intel Core i7 12700H and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti. But gamers can also do things differently: if energy-saving settings are set correctly, the energy-hungry gamer becomes a meek, lamb-like laptop with a useful battery life.

The HP Omen 17 is a powerful gaming machine that offers the Omen series’ signature design, a high refresh-rate display, and an impressive performance. With its latest hardware like the Intel Core i9 13th generation and higher-end Nvidia’s RTX 40 series GPU, it bests some other laptops in the segment. If you are looking for an all-rounder laptop that excels in gaming, editing, and doing daily tasks, the HP Omen 17 is a beast of a machine to consider under Rs 3 lakh.

HP Omen 17-ck2004TX is an ambitious product that looks to fit top-end gaming performance in a laptop chassis. In its attempt at that, the gaming laptop does well to provide fluid gameplay but the load that the system is constantly under to afford the same is palpable, especially in the form of fewer battery hours. As a result, it seems to be a laptop that may only appeal to a specific niche of gamers. The Omen 17 does a fairly impressive job as a gaming laptop. For enthusiasts who want to take the 13th-gen Core i9 and RTX 4080 combo on a spin in the laptop form, Omen 17 is the way to go, as long as they are willing to fork a rather hefty asking price.

The HP Omen 17 is the only high-end 40 series GPU laptop we’ve tested so far this year, it’s got a leg up on the competition, and at a price of Rs 3,03,501, it’s weirdly enough affordable for the specs on offer making it an enticing choice even for desktop gamers looking for an upgrade. Of course, with more and more 40 series laptops making their way into the market, this might change, but until then, the HP Omen 17 is certainly worth checking out.

HP has once again created a laptop that is absolutely packed with features. Audio is created by Bang & Olufsen, the sound card supports DTS:X Ultra, while there is a present 3.5mm jack. Not to mention the port selection, which not only features a Thunderbolt 4 connector, SD card reader, and a real HDMI 2.1, but also a Mini DisplayPort, three USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, and a LAN port. This is pretty much every port you’ll ever need in a laptop. Of course, the hardware is a big part of this setup. Its 55W 13th Gen Intel CPU is insanely powerful, while the RTX 4080 is capable of using its full 175W TGP budget. However, there are a couple of things regarding the cooling. For starters, it only uses three heat pipes, which sounds like madness in 2023. And while it can sustain the aforementioned RTX 4080, it doesn’t come without disadvantages. One price to pay is the high internal temperature. Another is the high noise. Last, but not least – it doesn’t quite get to the clocks reached by the Lenovo Legion 7 (16″, 2023).
