The successors to the HMD Pulse and the HMD Pulse Pro already appear to be nearing launch: following an initial leak about the Pulse 2 Pro last November, leaker @smash_60 has now obtained further details about three models in the Pulse 2 series.
Accordingly, the HMD Pulse 2 is said to be getting a Unisoc Tiger T7200, a 12 nm ARM chip from 2019 that features two Cortex-A75 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It also comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB to 128 GB of flash storage. The 6.67-inch IPS panel only reaches a 720p+ resolution, but still has a frame rate of 90 Hz. An 8-MP selfie camera, a 13-MP main camera and a 2-MP sensor round off the specs. The HMD Pulse 2+ reportedly has the same display and processor, but the model will be equipped with 6 GB of RAM and a 50-MP main camera for an additional charge.
The HMD Pulse 2 Pro is expected to receive some additional upgrades, starting with a 6.7-inch IPS panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate, although the display is also only expected to reach HD+ resolution. The Unisoc T7250 is five years newer but offers only slightly higher clock speeds than the Unisoc T7200. The Pulse 2 Pro reportedly features a 50-MP selfie camera, a 50-MP main camera, 2-MP macro and depth cameras, up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash storage, and 20-watt fast charging.
