Google Pixel 7: Pricing for 128 GB model and release date confirmed ahead of official reveal
Amazon has jumped the gun by revealing US pricing for the Pixel 7, just a few months after it shared numerous Galaxy Z Fold4 details ahead of schedule. Brought to our attention by @thisistechtoday, Amazon has since unlisted its Pixel 7 product page. However, searching 'B0BCQXXRJJ' on Amazon US still shows the SKU in its results, as the embedded image below demonstrates.
Specifically, Amazon listed the Pixel 7 in Obsidian, one of three launch colours alongside Lemongrass and Snow. Additionally, the retailer showcased a 128 GB model; 256 GB should be available too, though. For reference, both memory configurations will only ship with 8 GB of RAM, unlike the Pixel 7 Pro. In effect, Google has replicated the Pixel 6 series' memory configurations for the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
As earlier leaks suggested, the Pixel 7 will start at US$599, price-matching its predecessor. Presumably, the 256 GB variant will retail for US$699 too. However, the strengthening of the US dollar in recent months may result in price increases for other markets though, such as Europe and the UK. Separately, Amazon US remarks that Google will release the Pixel 7 on October 13, a week after the device's launch. Hence, we suspect that this date refers to when pre-orders will begin shipping, which is five days earlier than expected. The same appears to be the case for the Pixel Watch as well, based on a recent retailer leak.
