Godox ML100Bi packs 120 watt LED light into pocket size format
The Godox ML100Bi is a brand new video light with a retro design that measures just 12.2 x 11 x 4.6 cm and weighs 487 grams. A small display on the back shows the selected brightness and color temperature - the light can reach a color temperature between 2,800 and 6,500 Kelvin so that it can be adjusted to the ambient light.
Alternatively, the light can also be connected to the corresponding smartphone app via Bluetooth for remote control. The LEDs on the front achieve a brightness of 34,300 lux at a distance of one meter, with a power consumption of 120 watts at full brightness. Power is supplied either via a USB-C power supply unit or a correspondingly powerful USB-C power bank, with Godox offering a special 14.8 volt battery for the light.
The rear is dominated by ventilation openings and so should not be covered. Godox supplies a reflector and an umbrella holder. The video light is compatible with a wide range of Godox accessories, including numerous softboxes, a power bank holder and a Bowens mount adapter. A tripod thread allows the light to be attached to a standard camera tripod.
Price and availability
The Godox ML100Bi Portable LED Video Light is available in the US for $199. Godox has not yet confirmed any details on price or availability in regard to a possible international launch. Further details can be found on the official product page.
