Garmin vívofit jr. 3: New version introduced that draws inspiration from Marvel's Black Panther
Garmin has quietly introduced a new special edition version of the vívofit jr. 3. Announced after the introduction of the Venu Sq 2 series, the Black Panther Special Edition joins the Iron Man Special Edition as the vívofit jr. 3 series' second Marvel-themed smartwatch. Fundamentally, the Black Panther Special Edition is the same as the regular vívofit jr. 3, which has a 0.56-inch display, 5 ATM water resistance and up to a year's battery life.
Additionally, the vívofit jr. 3 supports Android and iOS devices, plus it can store 14 days of activity tracking data directly on the smartwatch. Moreover, Garmin includes Black Panther-themed watch faces and a corresponding watch strap with a Black Panther logo, a patterned finish and 'WAKANDA FOREVER' on the strap's underside. Incidentally, the vívofit jr. 3 also ships with Avengers-themed watch faces.
As far as we can tell, Garmin actually sells two versions of the Black Panther edition. Pictured below, the version with a purple Black Panther logo is a Garmin online exclusive, where it retails for US$89.99. Other than that, the two versions appear to be identical. Currently, both versions should start shipping within 1-3 business days. For reference, Garmin sells the Black Panther Special Edition in other markets too, including the Eurozone and the UK, where it costs €89.99 and £79.99, respectively.
