Garmin has announced a product launch event on social media, where the Fenix 8 smartwatches are expected to be officially unveiled. In the posts, the company shared a teaser video, suggesting the products will help you track a wide range of activities, alongside a link to the virtual session.

Garmin has officially confirmed a launch event for August. The company has posted a teaser video across social media platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter) and Instagram. The accompanying text asks, “What awaits?”, with many users speculating that this post is about the upcoming Fenix 8 series smartwatches.

The Garmin video shows fast-paced clips of various sports, such as running, skiing, weight lifting and swimming. Plus, there is an overlaid image of the infinity symbol, which could also hint at the number 8. In the post, the company includes a link to the landing page for a livestream event, which will take place on August 27th at 1 PM CET/12 PM BST/7 AM ET.

For a while, rumors have suggested that Garmin would launch the Fenix 8, Fenix E and Enduro 3 smartwatches on August 27th, but this is the first official news from the company. There have also been a series of leaks, including video footage, sharing information about the Fenix 8 wearables, which are said to feature enhanced solar technology, a built-in microphone and AMOLED and MIP screen options. Pricing of the Fenix 8 is expected to start from $1,100/€999. It remains to be seen whether all three wearables will be unveiled at the event.
